Repairs, Equipment & Installations
Pool Repairs, Equipment & Installations
We diagnose faults, repair equipment where appropriate, replace ageing or failed equipment, and install new pool equipment.

Pool Pumps
Common Signs
- Pump not starting
- Unusual noise
- Reduced flow
- Loss of prime
- Leaking around the pump or equipment area
- Poor circulation symptoms
- Repair
- Repaired where practical and economically sensible.
- Replacement
- Ageing, failed or uneconomical pumps replaced.
- New Installation
- New pumps installed for a new or replacement system.
- Upgrades
- Upgraded where a better-matched pump suits the pool.

Pool Filters
Covering both sand and cartridge filtration.
Common Signs
- Poor filtration
- Abnormal pressure
- Damaged or leaking components
- Deteriorated filter condition
- Restricted flow
- Assessment
- Filter condition and performance assessed.
- Repair
- Repaired where appropriate.
- Replacement
- Replaced when no longer performing effectively.
- New Installation
- New filtration installed where required.
Filter media replacement is carried out where applicable to the filter type.

Salt Chlorinators & Cells
The chlorinator (the control/power unit) and the salt cell (which produces chlorine) are assessed separately — a fault in one doesn't always mean the other needs attention.
Common Signs
- Poor or no chlorine production
- Controller or power-unit fault indicators
- Cell condition and output
- Error codes or warning lights
- Diagnosis
- Chlorinator and salt cell assessed to identify the actual fault.
- Cell Replacement
- Salt cells replaced when no longer producing adequately.
- Chlorinator Replacement
- Chlorinator units replaced where required.
- New Installation
- New chlorinator systems installed and configured.

Pool Plumbing
Plumbing directly connected to pool equipment — not general leak detection.
Common Signs
- Equipment-pad leaks
- Damaged pipework
- Leaking unions or fittings
- Valve issues
- Suction/return plumbing issues
- Repair
- Equipment-area plumbing repaired where found.
- Modifications
- Connections adjusted for equipment changes or upgrades.
This covers plumbing at the equipment pad — not comprehensive underground or structural leak detection.

Pool Cleaners
Common Signs
- Cleaner not operating
- Reduced or inconsistent movement
- Obvious mechanical faults
- Diagnosis
- Common faults assessed where the cleaner type allows.
- Repair
- Repaired where appropriate.
- Replacement
- Replaced where repair isn't practical.
- New Setup
- New pool cleaner equipment set up and configured.

Pool Lighting
Pool-light issues can be assessed and the appropriate repair or replacement pathway identified.
- Assessment
- Pool lighting issues assessed for the appropriate next step.
- Replacement / Upgrades
- Replaced or upgraded within the applicable service scope.
Electrical work requiring a licensed electrician is handled accordingly.

Timers & Controls
Common Signs
- Timer not operating correctly
- Ageing or unreliable controllers
- Incorrect configuration after other equipment changes
- Repair
- Assessed and repaired where practical.
- Replacement
- Faulty or ageing timers and controllers replaced.
- New Installation
- New timers or controls installed where applicable.
- Configuration
- Set up correctly after equipment installation or changes.

Equipment Upgrades
For equipment that still works but is ageing, inefficient, increasingly unreliable, or poorly matched to the pool.
- Pump Upgrades
- Assessed for a better-matched pump.
- Filtration Upgrades
- Improved filtration considered where appropriate.
- Chlorination Upgrades
- Updated chlorination systems considered.
- Controls Upgrades
- Modern controls assessed where useful.
This is assessment and recommendation, not automatic upselling — the right option depends on the pool and existing system.
Repair or Replace? We'll Help You Make the Right Call.
The right recommendation depends on the nature of the fault, the condition of the equipment, repair cost, availability of replacement parts, age and deterioration, any repeated failure history, and whether the existing equipment still suits the pool and system.
Replacement may make more sense when:
- Repair is uneconomical
- Parts are unavailable
- Equipment is significantly deteriorated
- Failures keep recurring
- Existing equipment is no longer suitable
Repair may remain the better option when:
- The issue is isolated
- Equipment is otherwise serviceable
- Parts are available
- Repair remains economically sensible
Assess first. Recommend second.
What to Expect
